Join fellow entrepreneurs and wanna-preneurs for a panel discussion on starting a new business in Seward! The purpose of this event is to connect community members with the resources they need to bring their ideas to life. The Seward Chamber of Commerce will provide light refreshments, including treats from local food businesses.
Starting a business (or even thinking about it!) can feel overwhelming. We'll demystify the process by focusing on the questions that many new entrepreneurs have, including:
- Who can help me develop a business plan?
- How many business licenses do I need?
- Should I incorporate my business?
Hamajang owner Tony Baclaan will moderate our panel discussion, featuring several local business owners representing a variety of industries. Learn what they wish they’d known when they were just starting out! There will be plenty of time for Q&A.
Plus, meet representatives from the Seward Chamber, City of Seward, Small Business Development Center, and local companies that provide business services.
We’ll also discuss resources that are available to Seward residents, including SBDC advising, Cooperative Extension courses, our local small business management class offered by Tom Tougas and Nicole Lawrence, and more.
Existing business owners are also encouraged to attend to explore mentorship opportunities. We're better together!
This event is free and open to the public.
